We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Aerospace Project Manager to join our dynamic team in our Belfast office. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing aerospace projects from conception to completion, ensuring that they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. The ideal candidate will possess strong project management skills, expertise in Microsoft Project, and a deep understanding of change control processes within the aerospace industry.

This is a permanent position, the salary is negotiable based on experience, seniority, etc. In addition to the salary, we offer 25 days leave, pension plan, flexible working, optional health care, plus other staff benefits.

Responsibilities

  • Project Planning and Execution:
    • Develop comprehensive project plans outlining tasks, timelines, and resource requirements.
    • Execute and manage aerospace projects according to the defined project plans.
    • Ensure adherence to project milestones and deadlines.
  • Microsoft Project Expertise:
    • Utilize Microsoft Project to create, update, and maintain project schedules.
    • Proficiently use Microsoft Project to track and report on project progress.
    • Leverage advanced features of Microsoft Project to optimize project management processes.
  • Change Control Management:
    • Implement and oversee change control processes to manage modifications to project scope, schedule, and costs.
    • Evaluate and assess the impact of changes on project objectives and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
    • Ensure that change requests are documented, reviewed, and approved in accordance with project requirements.
  • Risk Management:
    • Identify potential risks to project success and develop mitigation strategies.
    • Monitor and manage project risks throughout the project lifecycle.
    • Implement proactive measures to minimize the impact of risks on project outcomes.
  • Stakeholder Communication:
    • Establish and maintain effective communication channels with project stakeholders.
    • Provide regular updates on project progress, milestones achieved, and potential risks.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project alignment with organizational goals.
  • Resource Management:
    • Coordinate with resource managers to ensure adequate allocation of personnel and equipment.
    • Optimize resource utilization to achieve project objectives efficiently.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) or APM certification is preferred.

Essential Skills

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Project and other project management tools.
  • Demonstrated expertise in change control processes within aerospace projects.
  • Excellent organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Desired Skills

  • Familiarity with other project management tools.
  • Innovative problem-solving abilities.

Experience

  • Proven experience as a project manager in the Aerospace industry.
