Activities Coordinator

Ardenlee Care Home sits within its own tranquil grounds overlooking the sea, woodland, and gardens. Home to 32 residents, we provide exceptional Residential care in a warm and welcoming environment that promotes comfort, companionship, and wellbeing.

We are now looking for a sociable, creative and well-organised Activities Coordinator who can bring joy, laughter, and meaningful engagement to the daily lives of our residents. Caring for our residents goes beyond meeting care needs — it’s about making every day enjoyable, stimulating, and full of purpose.

What We Offer

•  £12.58 per hour
•  Contracted to 18 hours per week (3 days, 11:00am – 5:00pm)
•  Paid PVG,  Pension scheme,  Uniform provided
•  5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full-time contract)

Your Role
As Activities Coordinator, you will plan and deliver a variety of group and one-to-one activities that reflect residents’ interests, hobbies, and life stories. From creative arts to themed events and gentle exercise sessions, you will help residents stay active, engaged, and connected. You’ll build meaningful relationships with residents, taking time to understand their preferences and abilities so that everyone can participate in ways that are right for them.

You will also maintain accurate records of participation and feedback, ensuring activities complement residents’ individual care plans. Working closely with the wider care team, you will help create a fun, inclusive, and uplifting atmosphere throughout the home.

•  Ability to plan and deliver engaging, meaningful activities
•  Enthusiasm and energy to make every day positive and enjoyable
•  Experience working in a care home or activity-based role is desirable but not essential – full training will be provided
