About the Role

Has anyone ever told you that you are outstanding at what you do, and that you demonstrate a high work ethic?

Do you have experience working in finance and are you a whizz with Excel spreadsheets?

If so, this role could be for you!

We are looking to hire the 'Best of the Best’ and we have an opportunity for an Accounts Assistant to join our Finance team of great people.


Job Opportunity

Join a team responsible for the day to day upkeep of the accounts systems and production of accounting reports.

 Main Responsibilities

  • Produce daily, weekly and monthly sales reports using Excel.
  • Set up new customer accounts on sales invoicing system.
  • Assist with processing purchase invoices, including matching against purchase orders and goods received notes, maintaining Goods Received Records, and posting purchase ledger invoices to Sage 200.
  •  Assist with counting and reconciling daily sales cash receipts.
  • Produce supporting information for Weekly P&L report.
  • Maintain and update the Raw Material Purchase Tracker

We welcome applications from candidates with experience in any of the following roles or skill areas: Accounts Assistant, finance, Excel, spreadsheets, Sage, Sage 200, purchase orders, reconciliation, sales ledger, purchase ledger, and data entry.


Essential Skills

  • Previous experience in a finance environment
  • Excellent communication skills; verbal and written
  • Excellent mathematical skills and the ability to think logically 
  • Good IT skills
  • A good record of reliability in terms of attendance and punctuality and an enthusiastic approach towards work

 Preferred Skills

  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Knowledge of Sage 200
  • Experience of using Excel
  • Organised and capable of prioritising your workload
