Owns the full lifecycle of Satellite Laser Ranging and Space Debris Laser Ranging systems, from radiometric link-budget modelling and optical bench assembly to time-of-flight data processing and ground station deployment. Acts as laser safety subject matter expert and works across optical design, hardware integration and Python-based instrument control in a small startup team.

Lead a team of engineers through the final design, manufacture, test, verification and qualification phases of a high-resolution optical payload imager electronics programme. The role is hands-on and embedded within the project team on site in Guildford, covering scheduling, risk management, work package definition and project finances. Satellite systems experience and delivering electrical systems such as FPGA, software, PCA hardware and EGSE are advantageous.
