Hands-on senior role involving trade studies with suppliers, lab alignment and metrology, and mentoring junior engineers, with technical writing for ESA and customer programmes.

Own the laser subsystem in autonomous satellite laser ranging stations, from specifying and qualifying pulsed laser sources with suppliers to integrating beam delivery, cooling, power, control and safety interlocks. Characterise performance, build test rigs, improve reliability for unattended remote sites, and manage laser damage risk with the optics team. Based on-site in London within a small spacetech team.

A two-year graduate programme rotating through four six-month placements in Saab UK's Sensor Systems Radar business, working hands-on with 3D radar technology at the Farnborough office. Graduates rotate as a cohort, are supported by managers and mentors, and may convert to a permanent role based on performance and business needs.

Administer export licence applications, maintain licence utilisation and compliance records, and coordinate ATA Carnets and international shipments of controlled goods and technology. Act as the export control focal point for the Sensor Systems Radar business unit, advising projects and procurement teams and supporting customs audits and governance across Saab UK.

Owns end-to-end design of complex electronics modules for satellites and aerospace systems, from architecture and schematic through PCB layout in Altium, analysis, bring-up and production release. Also leads teams of hardware engineers, mentors staff and presents design reviews to customers and executives.

Owns board-level RF hardware for satellite and aerospace phased array systems, covering schematic design, PCB layout, simulation and lab validation. Works across the full lifecycle from concept and part selection through manufacturing, qualification and in-orbit support, presenting design reviews and contributing to proposals.
