About the job you’re considering​

Siemens Polarion Solution Architect (South East/Hybrid)

We are seeking an experienced Siemens Polarion Solution Architect to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing Polarion ALM solutions to meet our organization's requirements for application lifecycle management, particularly in regulated industries.

Hybrid working: The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.​

If you are successfully offered this position, you will go through a series of pre-employment checks, including: ​identity, nationality (single or dual) or immigration status, employment history going back 3 continuous years, and unspent criminal record check (known as Disclosure and Barring Service)​

Your role

  • Design and architect Polarion ALM solutions aligned with business requirements and industry best practices

  • Configure and customize Polarion workflows, work items, documents, and reports to meet specific project needs

  • Develop integration solutions between Polarion and other enterprise systems (e.g., Jira, Jenkins, DOORS, SAP)

  • Lead Polarion implementation projects, including requirements gathering, solution design, and execution

  • Provide technical guidance to development teams on Polarion capabilities and best practices•

  • Troubleshoot complex Polarion configuration issues and performance bottlenecks•

  • Create and maintain documentation for Polarion solutions, including architecture diagrams and user guides

  • Train and mentor team members on Polarion features and customization techniques

  • Stay current with Polarion updates, features, and roadmap to ensure optimal utilization

    Your skills and experience​

    Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

  • 5+ years of experience with ALM tools, including 3+ years specifically with Siemens Polarion

  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid)

  • Experience configuring and customizing Polarion for complex enterprise environments

  • Proficiency in Polarion administration, including user management, permissions, and workflow configuration

  • Knowledge of Polarion's scripting capabilities, including JavaScript, Velocity templates, and Java extensions

  • Experience with requirements management, test management, and traceability in regulated environments

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

    Preferred

  • Siemens Polarion certification(s)

  • Experience in regulated industries (Medical Device, Automotive, Aerospace)

  • Knowledge of compliance standards (ISO 13485, IEC 62304, FDA CFR 21 Part 11, ASPICE, etc.)

  • Experience with Polarion's REST API and XML-based configuration

  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools and DevOps practices

  • Experience with SQL databases and performance optimization

  • Knowledge of version control systems (SVN, Git)

  • Experience with Siemens Teamcenter or other Siemens Digital Industries Software products
