Job Description

Lead and champion EDM manufacturing processes on site
Recommend appropriate machining strategies for various materials and applications and optimize EDM settings (voltage, pulse duration, frequency) for efficiency and quality.
Discuss engineering processes with the manufacturing team and pass feedback the other way too
Practical experience in operating and troubleshooting EDM machines and controls.
Knowledge of machine calibration, maintenance, and adjustments to ensure optimal performance. Familiarity with advanced CNC EDM systems, programming, and automation tools.

Essential Experience/Skills/Qualifications

In-depth knowledge of EDM manufacturing processes and procedures
Expertise in various EDM types, such as Wire EDM, Sinker EDM, and Hole Drilling EDM – as many of these as possible
Multi axis fast hole drilling experience is ideal
Ideally tool design and electrode design/material knowledge
