Gloucestershire | Days | Up to £35,000 + Paid Overtime + Excellent Benefits

Join a well-established and respected engineering company in Gloucestershire that delivers precision-engineered solutions to the Aerospace, Defence, and Pharmaceutical sectors. This client seeks an experienced CNC Programmer with hands-on expertise in Mazak CNC machinery.

You will be joining a dynamic team of CNC Tooling experts, working a day shift team, Monday to Friday. Key responsibilities will include the programming, setting, and operating Mazak and Hardinge machinery to produce high-precision components to tight tolerances. Other duties will include consistent process performance inspection using precision measuring tools (micrometres, gauges, calipers), obtaining First-Off inspection approval on all production runs.

You will be responsible for capturing all data, recording production output times, whilst ensuring that engineered parts meet accurate customer specification. There is a need to assess the efficiency, safety and maintenance of all tooling, equipment and machinery, flagging any concerns to the engineering team.

    Your skills:

  • Proven CNC Programming experience with Mazak (Mazatrol) controls

  • A solid understanding of engineering drawings and production methods

  • A proactive, detail-focused mindset and a commitment to high standards

  • Ideally, experience working in high-precision industries to include Aerospace or Defence

  • Confidence when using MS Office systems including Outlook for all communication requirements

  • Proven Quality Management and Health and Safety experience is essential

  • First-Off – First-Article Inspection methods

    Additional Information:

  • Qualified in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent technical discipline would be desirable

  • 3–5 years of hands-on CNC Programming experience, ideally using Mazak machines with Mazatrol controls

  • Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings

  • Confident in working to tight tolerances and quality standards typical in Aerospace, Defence, or Pharma sectors

  • Familiarity with continuous improvement practices such as 5S or lean manufacturing
